Saturday Sort A Thon at Vermont Food Bank: Date: Saturday April 28th 2018 Time: 8:00 AM- 12:00 PM Location: 33 Parker Road Barre Details:
Please join us for another Saturday Sort A Thon at the Vermont Food Bank. Members will need to sign up on our website and register with VT Food Bank. Please see the directions below to register with VT Food Bank and important information about the DIAD. Members will meet at 7am at the Richmond Park n Ride if they would like to car pool.
Each volunteer will receive a confirmation email from VT Food Bank with additional information about what to wear, what to bring and location.
Volunteers should wear closed-toe-and-heel shoes and comfortable clothing. The warehouse can get chilly, so bring layers. Valuables should be left at home or locked in your vehicles, and due to somewhat limited parking, it’s helpful if volunteers try to carpool, when convenient. There is a no smoking policy, so volunteers will be asked to take smoking breaks outside the perimeter of the Vermont Foodbank property. Activities do include lifting at least 30 pounds and standing on your feet for two hours
